Unsure how it will work but i think it makes sense to move away from the shadow of Nicholson and Ledger.

I did listen to a interview with a batman writer a while back who said he loved one writer maki g the Joker like a faded Bowie with groupies etc. Looks like they have gone that route.

Think the Joker from Suicide Squad animated film (Assault on Arkham?) was suitably different to either of those and was a more understated psychopath who you knew could flip out at any minute, this one looks more like a gangster Joker.

If licking your lips and speaking funny is your thing then aye.

I thought he was fucking shite.

Nah. He was superb. Much closer to the Joker of the excellent Killing Joke. The lip licking was a cracking touch - it emphasised the damage to his mouth which had probably damaged his saliva glands. Nice subtle character touch.

Nicholson's Joker did fit Burton's Batman, but Ledger's was the superior portrayal in my humble opinion. But each to their own.

Fair enough, I prefer the Burton Batman myself, he didn't sound like the cookie monster for a start.

Be boring if we all agreed on everything.

I can't work out how DC/Warner continually fuck up their properties, even going as far as to not tie in their TV Show characters with the rest of their universe. I think it might be down to a lack of a singular figure, like Kevin Feige at Marvel, who is able to knit it all together. The recent Batman films were great because they were Chris Nolan films, not because Warner had any vision.

Guest Numero Veinticinco

One of the greatest actors to ever grace the screen vs the bloke out of Brokeback Mountain, I know who my money is on.

What does that have to do with anything? It's one performance vs the other.

Aye and I think Jack Nicholson was much better than Heath Ledger at being the Joker, him being a far superior actor helped.

I've watched The Dark Knight a few times, tried to understand what all the fuss is about but I just don't get it at all. Anyway, I've said my piece on the matter.
