Arrival is getting pretty good early reviews. It doesn't look like the typical alien invasion film either.

Most reviews are kind of middling. Empire scored it 3/5, The Guardian 2/5, The Independent 3/5. It doesn't seem to be the car crash most were expecting though.

 

I'll watch it because I enjoyed Adam Wingard's 'You're Next' and really liked 'The Guest', he's a really genre savvy director.

Looking forward to Arrival.

 

Will give Blair Witch a whirl probably, but not expecting much. I love scary films though. Give in to the horror. It Follows and The Babadook have been my favourite films of the last year or so.
