The other thing to note is Thomas's concurring opinion in which he pointed out that the reasoning in this decision applies equally to the decisions that legalized homosexual relationships, same-sex marriages, and even contraception.

He very conveniently left out the "same reasoning" for the Supreme Court ruling that legalized inter-racial marriage.

Utter cunts.  If they want to make rules that fuck their own country up, so be it.  When they make rules that affect the planet they need dealing with.   Idiots.
Humanity seems set on creating its own destruction.

One of the things all these contentious decisions highlights is how bad Americans are at making signs.

Every one of those stories has an accompanying photo of people protesting and the signs are not good. On cardboard, too many words, too many colours, not declarative, too

clever, bad quality. Have to wonder what it is they teach people over there.

How to hide under the table from some cunt with an AR15?

I'm not into American sport but how are their banners/songs and stuff? I imagine not great.

I went to a Mets game once and some kid a few rows in-front kept shouting "Let's Go Mets!" every few minutes if that helps.

Interesting tweet with some disturbing replies about what’s happening over there.

Amongst the replies was this image detailing one of the  evil billionaire brothers David Koch standing for the extremely to the right of Reagan Libertarian Party in 1980.

Lots of the policies sound familiar now because they’ve now become mainstream both here in UK

and in US.

The ruling about the EPA is right out of their playbook.

Surprised they didn’t win. You’d think being against seat belts and the post office would have people turning out in their millions.

That manifesto is genuinely one of the most insane and disturbing pieces of political literature I've ever read. Genuinely fucked up!

Extremely to the right of Ronald Reagan is not a good place to be! Thing is these people fund all the talking heads from think tanks that get on our politics shows.

Been dealing with loads lately on Zoom and you forget how different they are to us despite the common language. The British have this subconscious 'are they taking the piss?' thing running in the background like an alternator all the time and the yanks seem to trigger it constantly, I do genuinely never know when they're taking the piss or not.

"Hi. I guess it's really hot over there right?"

"Yes, I bet it gets pretty hot there though eh?"

"Yeah. Yeah. YEAH it does, like recently I was like 'wow it's so hot'. That's cool. That's so funny."

Bill Nelson of Be Bop Deluxe wrote a song called "Dance Of The Uncle Sam Humanoids". I'm paraphrasing but when Be Bop were on tour there he said although there was the common language he just didnt really understand them, and I get that.

We were on holiday the on holiday the other month and got talking to some Americans. It was surreal. I used to live there but had forgotten what just speaking with some of them can be like.
The son was genuinely the thickest person I have ever spoken to in my life. We are talking a 15 year old Homer Simpson, fat as fuck. He was wearing those sort of wrap around Oakley sunglasses constantly and I maintain that was so you couldn’t see straight through his eyes and into the empty void of his skull. It was excruciating trying to get anything out of him, literally just had to shrug and walk off.

I always used to wondered why the average American seemed so easy to dupe but now I realise exactly why.

Had the same last night. Based in San Diego and without me even saying "I hear you guys have some sort of heatwave?" "Yeah but I doubt it's as hot as over there" "Hahaha well let me say we don't make the news" I should have said "fuck off anchorman" when two of his colleagues laughed as if they were laughing at me as if I'd brought the fucking thing up. I bet the cunt had planned that shitty small talk jibe and all. I bet all 3 of them sat planning it eating taco's "Hey what if I say..." "yeah that's a good one"

To be fair he's sound but agreed on them in general. The humour is completely different. Coastal yanks are always better. Try and get a laugh out of someone from Iowa.
