Watched both of those David Chase documentary episodes and they were very good. Brought back excellent memories of good years in my life. The ladies of the series haven't matured too well, apart from Lorraine Bracco, who looks older but much less cosmetically designed. Michael Imperioli is only a few months older than me but has gone pure grey. Still looks the same though. What a television series though as it revolutionised the small screen.

Will have to give that a go.

I still can't believe how bad Many Saints was, absolutely abysmal.

At first I tried to convince myself I liked it. Like when the barber fucks up your haircut.

For some reason Silvio was middle aged. Junior was saying sisters cunt like it was his catchphrase ( he says it once during the series).

Its like they asked one of the writers for Mr's browns boys to write parts of it.

Gandofini's lad was a bad choice too.

Sometimes I think about the Silvio character in ‘Many Saints…’ and get embarrassed on the spot.

Most cringeworthy acting performance I’ve ever seen. Was like some kid dressing up as him for Hallowe’en.

The David Chase two-parter is great, though. Hugely revelatory and entertaining. Frightening how young James Gandolfini was when he filmed it all too.

I try to steer clear of this thread, because I've never seen it the whole way through, so I don't want any spoilers.  I'm up to the final series now and I've just watched this.

Fuck me, this show is peerless.

brilliant scene. One of the things I love about this show is how there isn’t just a series of sharp unbelievably witty dialogue like some shows. It’s a load of uneducated guys trying to act smart and getting things wrong consistently. It’s the same type of bullshit that guys talk all over, half remembered and butchered.

Gandolfini was about half a stone away from being a 'Varsity Athlete' when the show began. I really do believe the role prematurely ended his life due it's stresses and the weight he added.

Eddie Falco was talking about how they had food caterers for the meal scenes. The food always looks amazing. Unlike most shows it wasn't just for show, it was hot and nice. But she said if they were doing multiple takes he'd keep eating and she'd stop.

Artie always prided himself on his recipes.

The alleged amount he was drinking at the time wouldn’t have helped either.
