Only watched this all the way through once many years ago. Finally convinced Mrs Turdseye to give it a go and she’s bang into it. We watched the first episode the other day and then just blasted through another seven episodes tonight. Had to reluctantly call it a night at 1:45 am.

I really don't think he is. His nephew stole his job, kept him as a figurehead boss so he's more likely to be arrested. He then let's him live off scraps.

He was acting the cunt before being made paper boss though - first few episodes, running to Jackie, telling his own nephew to only come in carrying a gun after Tony tried to talk to him. He’s a whopper.

There's a good scene where he's talking about how when he was a kid he helped a woman with some shopping and she offered him some money and he said no, but then his dad gave him a slap, said "you no need a money? You no like a eat?" and made him walk 11 miles home.

 

He was always in Johnny's shadow too, even though Johnny was younger he was a made guy and a capo before junior was.

Exactly. It’s that bitterness that exudes from him that makes him such a bell. He’s like the blue nose version of a tv character.
