Today, I finished building a play area for the kids at the back of our garden that included putting in a wall, moving three tons of soil and walking round in shorts, boots and gloves.

Grrrr.

What manly stuff did you do today?

I'm not very good with most manly activities if I'm honest. I got myself a ticket to glastonbury and as opposed to being psyched, all I could think of is how bad the toilets will be, and how I will cope with no showers for a full weekend.

There is nothing better than this.

I've had mine for near 20 years and it's still as good as it ever was. Mine was a bit cheaper as I borrowed my dads and I keep forgetting to return it.

I'm not one of those "it must be snap-on" guys but every other ratchet screw driver I've had hasn't even come close to it.

In the middle of sorting out all of my tools as part of getting the farm organised, my set up is along the lines of this.

But it comprises the stuff I bought myself, a lot of my dads stuff and some of my grandads old stuff so built up by 3 people over a combined 100 years or so.

Pony Princess got me a tool set because he was sick of having to bring his stuff round to mine. Basic but does the job. I now also have a drill (Lidl) and a staple gun. Both of which I use with gusto at the very slightest of opportunity.

I always wanted a staple gun. I just couldn't ever think what I'd use one for

My dad is/was a mechanic so has load of Snap On kit. His most treasured possession is a 1/4sd socket set he bought on drip when he first started his apprenticeship at Fords. Still got it now some 40 plus years later complete with receipt.

That picture is nearly reminiscent of when I served my time as a hgv mechanic.

The guy I worked under had a higher snap on bill than his mortgage.

He had a real fancy McLaren Mercedes themed tool box, but then went and bought a much bigger limited edition "black Knight" one. The black Knight tool box, without tools I might add, cost 7 grand [emoji33]
