My favourite is 'Life is Sweet' - very funny and only slightly depressing.

 

One of the best and lesser known ones is 'A Sense of History' - written and performed by Jim Broadbent - superb satire of the English landowning aristocracy. It is - comes out well in the end - the characters are very endearing especially Alison Steadman and Jim Broadbent. Watch it - you won't regret it.
