Canada is recession-proof. Moreover, two decent moose and good ice fishing can feed my family over the winter. I love banks. I've got a MBNA card with a $33 000 limit. No shit, 33 Canadian smackeroos. The year before I didn't even make 33 grand. I seriuosly feel like running it to the hilt and then not paying and suing the bastards for not doing due dilligence or whatever. Banks here were offereing 40 year mortgages because the average house price was 450k in Vancouver and 375k in Toronto. Our government thought this might be a bad idea and knocked it down to 35 years. Boys and girls, if I'd told you ten years ago the value of your house would triple you'd have laughed and said if so 'too good to be true'. Remember the old saying if its too good to be true then it probably isn't true. The chickens are coming home to roost.
