It does look intrigueingly good. I like it how the writers have made a conscious decision to follow on from Casino Royale and really developed the character of Mr White - it makes Royale seem like small fry petty crime compared as he delves deeper into the double-agent stuff in MI6.

I just hope it doesn't get formulaic in that he is seeking retribution for Vesper Lynd's death - loo at how shit Diamonds Are Forever was when he did the same to Blofeld . I also didn't care for the obstructions between M and Bond - it was done to death with Brosnan.

I was really cynical about Casino Royale before I saw it, but it was a great watch, and I don't forsee this one being any worse.

I thought Casino Royale was the most overrated film ever. Pish.

He beats someone to death in a public toilet though, and then shoots someone in cold blood, you can't get any better than that to be fair.

Bond is an ace creation which hasn't really EVER been done true to character, as my old English teacher once said: "I don't like Flemming's original Bond, he's cold, sadistic and cruel and likes to demean women."

Superb

Jason Bourne would kick his ass with a rolled up magazine.

I love Bond, we should let given him a license to kill all Metrosexuals.

You can’t be too happy with Craig’s Bond then surely Kopite? Wussy feelings, shaved chest and white speedos? Can’t get much more metrosexual than that.

He tried to drown a man in a washroom! Anyway I still prefer Sean Connery as Bond.

Nah, he looks like he's been twatted in the face with a frying pan, no moisturiser has seen that Bond's face for quite some time, fact.

Bourne doesn't count because he's a nice bloke who is basically overcome by his 'programming' when he'd being chased, but all things considered he'd rather be on a beach with his bird. Bond just wants to kill people, all the time, by any and all methods.

I thought that Casino Royale was heavily influenced by the Bourne films. It's one of the better ones, at least (behind Live and Let Die, From Russia with Love and Goldeneye).

Heavily influenced I'd say. Unfortunately Bourne Ultimatum blew all Bond out of the water so the next will either have to improve substantially or just play to it's loyal audience and go backwards.

Not really. It was an enjoyable film but you are never going to watch Bourne Ultimatum as much as you have seen the old Bond films.

This film looks like it may be introducing a sinister organisation along the lines of SPECTRE. That would be ace - fingers crossed.

Not yet but I've watched the trilogy about 5 times now and I cant remember the last time I watched a Bond movie. So if we're talking over the past 2 years, Bourne wins in terms of most watched and certainly most enjoyed.

I thought the Bourne films were pretty formulaic to be honest and wasn't that impressed by them.

(1) Bourne at peace

(2) Something happens

(3) Mysterious CIA/NSA man wants bourne dead

(4) stands in CCTV room sayig "get me her driving license now!"

(5) Foreign police force with funny sirens starts looking for him

( 6 ) Bourne and 'a bird' run away

(7) CIA man says 'activate the asset'

(8 ) A sniper wakes up in some hotel room

(9) Sniper and bourne have a fight, bourne stabs sniper with a pen

(10) Cia man's underling realises he's a shadester and has him arrested

(11) Bourne goes to live somewhere hot with his bird
