Two unnecessary ‘likes’ in that quote.  It’s like, kryptonite to this particular superman.

Remove the commas and that sentence is fine.

I adopted the style of the video. Can't believe you would imagine I'd erroneously deploy a superfluous comma.

I’ve seen you do worse

For me the best ever was Bill Hicks and nobody comes close.

I have seen Lee Mack live (last time about 12  or 13 years ago) and was superb. Not sure about now.

Louis CK is still brilliant. He is still releasing stand up material

John Mulaney is excellent but perhaps and acquired taste.

I have Stuart Lee live a few times and he was excellent.

Difficult to choose just one but if pressed I'd go for Billy Connolly for standup.

I think there are a few mainstream ones who have really made me laugh Kay, Mack and Flanagan the problem is the first tour/DVD is pure A grade material, they have lived this routine, it's in their DNA and it feels crafted. They subsequently  become famous, do the game/panel show circuit then it's time for a new tour/DVD but they only have the stuff that wasn't good enough for the first tour and some new anecdotes from their new lifestyle. They fail to reach the previous heights for me and their stand up takes a back seat to TV work.

There used to be loads of good stand ups, I don't find many of the Dave TV lot funny at all.

Jim Jeffries is the best knocking about currently.

He's good. His sitcom, Legit, was also very good. Well worth watching.

He's also one of the few that doesn't turn into mawkish shite after having a kid.

I love Stewart Lee but he’s difficult to compare him to other stand ups.

George Carlin.RIP

I've seen a lot of Carlin's stuff on youtube thanks to it's algorithm. I didn't know much about him during his lifetime but he was way ahead of his time and his acts are still relevant now. In fact they are still streets a head of most US stand ups even now.

Billy Connolly

Richard Pryor

Kevin Bridges

Bill Burr (Just starting to watch more and more, funny cunt I like him)

Bernard Manning (For his joke telling ability. Some of his jokes aren't funny anymore but some really are. His delivery was superb. Just dead-pan brilliance)

On telly Sean Lock was outstanding. Same for Frankie Boyle. So far ahead of the idiots they usually had around them.

I went to a comedy club on Saturday.

First guy was a black bisexual from Edinburgh who spent 20 minutes going on about how hard it is being black & bisexual in Edinburgh.

Second bird was a Liverpudlian lesbian with mental health issues, who spent 20 minutes going on about how hard it is being a lesbian with mental health issues.

Third guy was a posh, English, gay teacher, who was calling blokes in the crowd 'Angel'. Camper than Christmas this cunt.

Fourth guy was some Weegie, a Poundland Kevin Bridges really but by the time he came on I was ready to commit genocide so he was at a loss straight away.

It wasn't my idea to go & my two mates were blootered and kept speaking to me while these unfunny cunts were on stage & the bouncer gave me a row twice for talking when it wasn't even me

Never again.

The fifth one was a ventriloquist then?

Ha ha.

It would have been more enjoyable if I'd had someone's arm up my arse. Next time someone suggests going to a comedy club, they're getting a boot in the fucking bollocks. I told them it would be shite as well.
