With Dirk playing pretty well, and hoping that he continues this form through the euros, would anyone agree with me that if the opportunity came up that we could get our money back our better that we should cash in while his stock is so high?

 

Anything around the 12 million mark would be great business IMO and should be seriously considered to fund purchases for the wings.

We need quality wingers on the team to help win games, score goals, make runs at goal and provide quality crosses..

Kuyt is a valuable player and I feel we will miss him when he's gone. He had a below par season last time, but his personal circumstances lead me to cut him a bit of slack. I though he got much better towards the end of the season, and next season it is not unreasonable to expect him to kick off with that sort of form. A few more goals would be welcome too.

 

But if selling Kuyt meant that we could sign a clearly superior player (e.g. Diego, Villa) then I'd be in favour, albeit reluctantly. I still hope we can keep Kuyt and add someone of top quality for the front four.

You are right about one thing, he isn't a fancy player. However, he's a shiteload better than what you give him credit for... He puts in Man of the Match performances in big games and scores big goals.

 

Fuck off... He's worth more then £12million and is one of our best players.

Ive just been into the future to see what would happen if we sold dirk, and all I can say is...well its best that I show you. Its not good.

When you look at wide players or right sided forwards , Kuyt is almost unique. He's very strong , quite intelligent and posses very good movement. He bullies FB and stops them getting any joy going forward. He's also got 7 assits and 3 goals in his 15 starts since moving to that position.
