Garry Macca

Watched a bit of Leeds-Carlisle Division 3 play-offs.

Have to say Macca looks the bit on the sidelines. Dougie Freedman scored in the 95th and Macca was ultracool on the touchline, looking very confident of getting a result at Carlisle.

This Freeman character- didn't he play for Palace and score agianst us?

Future Liverpool manager? (McAllistar not Dougie).

Being singing the Garry Macca song today....

Gary Mac is everything that a Liverpool player, ex-player, legend and hopefully manager should be. Class, intelligence, decorum, grace and dignity. I love the guy.

i wasnt a fan for quite a long time, as we played very much on the counter attack for most games, i felt he slowed things down too much and disrupted the flow of the game, as the season went on though, and his importance shone through, i was embarrassed at how wrong i had been.

I remember the Coventry game in his first season, Sunday game, won 4-1, that was the day when he took command and started running the midfield and Gerrard became a better player for playing alongside Gary Mac.

Another game that stands out was away to Bradford. Won 2-0, it was at the end of the season, when we had fixture congestion. We were battling for 2 cups still plus the vital CL place, and Bradford away could have been a real banana skin....Gary Mac ran the show that night.
