£160,000 a game... that's what Harry Kewell cost Liverpool

I see Phil Babb is hitting the bar again!

It's a maddening thing with Kewell, but he was bought with an injury and never had it sorted out. It just got worse and worse. Yes, his attitude was often infuriating but I'm sure he was more often in despair about his injuries. The idea anyone thinks, 'Great - I'm being subbed in a major cup final!' is crazy.

He didnt, he told me to fuck off. I was in the paddock near the kop end at the time though.

The only thing I ever respected him for.

Ah well. He SHOULD have called you a wanker then, but the useless prick can't even do that properly.

At the time he signed I thought it was a great piece of business. I would imagine most people did. While it's a great shame it didn't work out, I can't hate the player for never really being fit. The time is right to draw a line under it and move on.

Good luck to Harry Kewell whatever he does next.

I seem to remember we had a choice between signing Kewell or paying Blackburn about £15m for Duff. At the time, I thought we did a fantastic deal.

Then I saw the supposedly-injured, bone-idle get on an episode of MTV Cribs, tooling around some mock-Georgian monstrosity with his bellisha-beacon missus and almost put me foot through the telly.

Cheerio, Harry.

At least we saved £10m, Duff hasn't exactly set the Premiership alight in the last few years.

Rafa: With Harry Kewell we were talking with his agent and we tried to progress and reach an agreement but we didn't make any agreement, so he will be released at the end of the season.

So I'm assuming they offered him a play as you play deal but he refused it.. greedy cunt, you'd think that's the least he could have done.. Liverpool fan my arse.
