When I hear The Traveling Wilburys I think of being in the passenger seat of my Dad's big car, blasting down the down the dock road to town at warp speed, and believing that my Dad was the biggest man in the world.

Ace.

I'm off to play some Wilburys right now...

There's a story that Roy's family had a curse on it. He suffered so much loss during his life it was unbelievable.

When Roy Orbison died the Wilburys asked Del Shannon to take his place for one last album. Del Shannon then promptly dropped dead, adding further to the "curse" legend.

Also one of the greatest scenes in a movie ever!
Blue Velvet! I have it on dvd, this thread has prompted me to watch it again and dig out his greatest hits album.

Tragic about all his family dying but great art demands great sacrifice and when he sang about loss the feeling came from deep within like no other performer.
