Can't watch tonight, my house mate is ruling the control, managed to flick on and they are 2 up against Citeh. Anyone know who scored?

Sort it out mate, hit the fucker over the head with a bottle and grab the remote.

Insua gets better and better.

edit; he seems to have bulked up a bit as well.

2-1 by the way.

On a night doomed by the Coco and Hicks threads, it's great to see that on the pitch we are looking better than ever! I'm really impressed by our reserves. There are quite a lot of good footballers in this young squad, the most encouraging thing being that the skill level of our reserves seem to have improved immensely. Obviously we all would have liked to see most of this team made up from local talent, but as that seems to be a thing of the past, we atleast seem to have conjured up a lot of great international talent.

As I write this, City scores of course. Nice through ball for Bojinov, both he and Gulasci go for it, none of them connects and the ball rolls straight into the net:(

Oh well... Bruna looks like he has a good touch on him, Nemeth will probably follow Plessis (whom I really like as a player, good againt tonight) in making his full debut, and San Jose looks like a real prospect at CB. Not as impressed as many (Dave U esp) with Spearing, thinks he lacks something in most departments to make it at PL level, perhaps at one of the top Championships sides? We'll see... Insua is still a good footballer, but I can't really see him as an improvement on Fab in the near future. Lively and good going forward, but takes too big risks for a LB for my liking.

Agree with most of that, i actually thought Plessis was off the pace for most of the game, then got better as it wore on. Spearing, to me, seems to run around like a headless chicken, without actually achieving much.

I think Insua, Plessis and Nemeth are head and shoulders above the others, but some of them look like they could go on to be real players (Pacheco, Bruna, Flynn and San Jose), in another year or two.

I think this just shows the progress we, as a club, have made under Rafa.

Spearing is ace, he's had a brilliant season. He's definitely been a little off form the last couple of games though. Nemeth is getting better every week, and there's more to his game than just goalscoring as he showed tonight.

Agree on both points, Spearing has been the player of the season IMO. He's been in pretty poor form since his injury a few weeks back though.

Nemeth impresses me more every time I see him, he's cocky too which bodes well, some of his little flicks and turns tonight really reminded me of Fowler.

My gut feeling is Spearing won't make it here, I'd love to be proved wrong though.

Fuck me you stuck your neck out there? Gerrard Alonso Lucas Javi in front not to mention if they do buy any others and the lads he is with in the ressies he is good enough to make it in the prem a great little player but i think your right he will have to make the break through in the next 2 seasons and if he is to do that then it might be at somewhere like Man City Blackburn or the like with an option to buy back

Yep, I'd go along with that too. Nemeth is showing more and more each time he plays now. He'll do something that will make me think "I didn't realise he could do that as well"
