I thought Solo was alright, much better than TLJ.

Yeah me too, it was a solid 6/7 out of 10 I thought.

Watching the Mr Plinkett review reminds you how shit TLJ is. A whole plot point of the two blerts getting arrested in the 'casino planet' stem from them parking on a beach illegally.

Can you imagine that in The Empire Strikes Back? 'Han's been arrested, he parked illegally'.

I liked the Last Jedi. It’s not my favourite Star Wars film but any means and I do think it trued to hard to turn expectations on its head, but it’s not a bad film.

I like those Plinkett reviews but seriously, who thinks that hard about a film? If he wanted, he could do that sort of assassination on the original trilogy. They’ve all got gaping plot holes in them. If you want to find faults with stuff, its easy to do.

Mark Hamill hating it was enough for me. I'd rather watch the Plinkett review than the film itself.

The review is bang on the money I think.  It needed a good editing down - the whole lets get a code breaker (or whatever) plat was totally superfluous - looks like it was added just so they could have that Asian actress in it to appeal to the Chinese market.

This sounds good. The Mandalorian, played by that fella from Game of Thrones and Narcos. A gunslinger on the outer rim after the fall of the empire in return of the Jedi. Being written by John Favrau for Disney's own streaming service.

I bet that was sort of the plan for a Solo 2 - have Solo come up against Boba Fett, involve Jabba, tie it back to the original triliogy. A sequel would certainly have added more to the character, as much as Solo is a solid film, I don’t think it adds anything to the originals.

It sounds fucking great.  That actor is class as well.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi are sound, but the rest can go in the bin.

I really like the force awakens and rogue one.

I think the secret for good star wars films is keeping humans at the forefront of the stories. The villain in rogue one for example was pretty realistic.

In the prequels it was droids with four arms and alien 'comic relief' and nobody gives a flying fuck.

Star wars isn't sci fi, it's adventure.
