Some of the random sketches in between were funny and the puppets. The dogs talking about chess and the cat stand up comedian.

It was ace viewing back in the day. They should make a new version of it, easy enough to do as long as they recruit decent actors, potential story lines are endless.

They should leave well alone, in my opinion. It was completely of its time and it was fantastic for being of it's time..

Remaking or bringing back classic sitcoms rarely works. Plus, who could replace Rik Mayall?

Neil: Oh yeah, that’s a good idea isn’t it? Yeah – let’s all bring Neil down. That’ll relieve the boredom.

Vyvyan: Will it? OK – er, shut up Neil you ugly poo-faced git!

Oh, well, there’s gratitude for you! It’s me who’s going to have snotty undies for the next two terms, Neil. It’s me they’re going to be calling “Bogey Bum”. Especially at the next Friends of Stalin Society “Show Your Bottom” competition.
