Absolutely no point in selling Riise until we have got ourselves a top quality left back. Aurelio is even worse than Riise and Arbeloa is better on the right. Until we can find ourselves a better left back, we should keep Riise.

I like Riise, he hasn't had the best of seasons but he'd still be my first choice leftback this season. I'm not overly impressed with Aurelio and I think Riise overlaps really well with Babel. I'd only sell if we were replacing with better.

He's a proven Premiership player with an international pedigree and he comes complete with a knack of scoring decent and often vital goals.

I think that's probably the case. We're pretty harsh on him, but he's not as good as others (who still recall his goals) imagine...

 

Aurelio is a good player. Now he's had a run without rotation or injuries, I think that's clear.
