The Landlord. Hal Ashby's first picture, about a rich white kid who buys a New York brownstone with the intention of kicking out the black residents and taking part in the gentrification of the area. Slyly skewers 1970 middle class liberals and features his trademark wit. Well worth a watch.

Subservience 3/10.

A particularly bad actor brings in Megan Fox as a robot house maid when his wife gets ill. The robot Fox develops feelings and then tries to kill the family.

Absolutely rubbish. The points are for how smoking hot Fox looks and a reasonably graphic sex scene.

Wanking might be a problem with a broken rib though.

I haven’t even tried. It’s down my left side so I could be ok.

Mrs said we should use the Meerkat movie thing this week and asked me to check the pictures available.   Fuck me what a load of shit.

Retreads or revisits of Joker, Beeteljuice, Hellboy, Deadpool, Mean Girls, Shaun of the Dead, Despicable Me and Kung Fu Panda, and an adaptation of a Danish film.

Leaves 3 possibilities which encapsulate

- Horror, violence, suicide and domestic abuse

- Holocaust images and sexual violence

- Sexual abuse and Domestic abuse.

Think I'll get a pizza in, watch Great Movies on channel 034 and beg for a wank afterwards.

As soon as that 'Speak No Evil' is available on Kodi/etc watch it. Best thing I've seen in a while.

That was the only one I was interested in , but the wife isn't into horror films after I burnt my boats getting her to the pics by telling her that ' Seven ' was a remake of the Magnificent Seven.

Maybe tell her Wilder and Pryor are in it ?

Wouldn't even say it's a horror, more psychological thriller. McAvoy is fantastic in it, probably helps that he's been on the roids as well.

The Substance

10 what the fucks out of 10.

Hilarious, smart, not at all subtle film about the fountain of youth and how women are discarded at a certain age. Some of the most jaw dropping, wince inducing scenes I've seen in a long time.

A great man once said "I know writers who use subtext and they're all cowards".

He'd have loved this.

Demi Moore. She won’t be discarded when she’s been dead 10 years. Absolutely stunning woman

Blink Twice

Charming Tatum and Christian Slater head the cast of this intriguing mystery.

Unsettling, with a fine first half, but once the reveal is out on the open the wheels fell off.

Decent, watchable. 5.5/10

Kodi Fen Lite Real Debrid

Hipster film making.

All juvenile nonsense with little substance once you scratch the surface.

Joker 2 - 4/10

Not sure what they was thinking but whatever it was they completely fucked it up.

This had potential to build upon the first and I've no complaints with Phoenix's performance, he's a great character and the director/writers have diminished his portrayal of Joker with this travesty of a script.

The musical stuff was an abomination and was painful to listen to and that ending was terrible.

One of the worst sequels in movie history.

Can't wait to watch this. The director did a small indie film called Revenge which was decent.

I’ve got a feeling that only those supposed to get it will get it.

Hugely disappointing.  Pixar films generally vary from good to perfect, but this is piss-poor.

The trademark ingredients of Pixar, for decades, have included strong storylines; well-developed and engaging characters; beautiful animation; genuine laughs and "is it dusty in here?" moments; all within a logically-consistent universe.

This tiresome mess has none of that.

Just watched Inside Out 2.

Much, much more like it.  Pixar know how to do good sequels; respecting the original, but developing stories and characters in a way that makes the sequel more than just a cash-in.
