Incident in a Ghostland.

This appealed to my as I noticed the director also did Martyrs and whilst this is not rated as high as its predecessor it had a 6.4 on IMDB which is not bad for a horror film.

Don't know who was rating this but it was terrible like I cannot describe. 2/10.

Long Shot.

Ever seen Knocked up? Yeah, well you've as good as seen this. Seth Rigan stars as a writer for a independent newspaper who bumps into his old childhood crush who happens to be running for president, she take him on to help with speech writing and they grow closer. It was silly but alright if you like Rogan's humour, which I do and Charlize Theron is always worth a watch. 6/10.

Safety Not Guaranteed

A quirky film about 10 years old starring Aubrey Plaza as a journalist who goes in search of a mentalist/time traveller bloke to write a story about him. A nice easy way to spend 90 minutes. 6.5/10 (Amazon Prime).

"You're dangling my vagina out there like bait"

Great line , love Audrey me

For some reason I've decided to watch Rise of the Footsoldier : Origins. Brilliant line just had me pissing myself. Craig Fairbrass beats fuck out of two fellas in a pub, smashes one's face in with a pool ball. Bird he's been chatting with goes "You're a fucking animal Pat Tate, you can suck yourself off    cunt" so he launches the pool ball at her.

It's brilliant that, I laughed all the way through it. Just 90 minutes of mindless swearing, violence and ridiculousness. Thoroughly entertaining.

Yeah that wig is hilarious in itself. The new ones out next week. I'll be first in the queue at the cinema.

It's eerily prescient. The newsreader reminds me of Piers Morgan.

It really is, there’s so much of it that could easily be transferred to now and you wouldn’t be able to separate them. Amazed the Wachowskis never followed it up.

Right, Rise of the Footsoldier : Origins

If you’ve got nothing else to do and you like a bit of mindless violence, Vinny Jones and your “cunt” with an a not a u then this is for you.

6 slags out of 10 even though I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s shit but it’s the good kind of shit. Pwopa shit but awight kind of thing.

“He’s a little shit cunt slag” is a better line than anything to come from a Scorsese film.

I've just half watched a black and white foreign language film about (what appeared to be) a vampire Augusto Pinochet and a vampire Maggie Thatcher, going around the countryside feating on the blood of gypsies and locals.

No, I don't know what it was called, but yesm I have been drinking.

Citizen Kane 5/10.

Finally watched it and was a bit 'Emporors new clothes' for me. Really struggle to see how its rated so highly. Decent story, script etc but would not be in any of my top movie lists. 12 angry men is a far superior film for me.

Once upon a time in Hollywood 6/10.

With a cast so strong i expected better from Tarantino. Just think its too long, 30 minutes in and nothing had happened. Not a patch on his earlier movies.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is my favourite Tarantino film, but then I like films in which not a lot happens.

My Top 3 Tarantino films:

1. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

2. The Hateful Eight

3. Pulp Fiction

Watched Hitchcock's Vertigo again, first act is interesting and intriguing, second tries your patience a bit, because it has to, otherwise the film wouldn't work, but then the third one amply rewards you with its sheer brilliance.

Slight gripe, don't think Kim Novak would fall for Jimmy Stewart that much. Actually, I cannot imagine any woman falling for him. But he does the morally ambiguous and mentally unstable well, despite or because of being normally so all-American (see roles in which John Ford cast him).

9/10. Well, it is a classic.

Also, Hitchcock's Family Plot 6/10. Feels like a 1976 TV movie.

"65" where Darth Vader's grandson lives on a planet just like ours in every single way but decides to fly elsewhere and colonise another planet (no idea why). His ship hits a meteor storm and he crash lands on Earth, you've guessed it, in 1965. Actually, no, it was 65 million years ago. Anyway, everyone dies in the crash apart from him and some little girl and they have to fend off some mad dinosaurs for 90 minutes. Can't really recall a huge amount of plot and it was all very ludicrous and not very brain taxing at all. Still, an easy, if dumb, watch and the CGI is decent for a change.

5/10

It's my second favourite after Pulp Fiction, but i like the fact that you can just luxuriate in the visual details of the film. Also, the last 30 minutes are hilariously insane.
