I was seriously waiting for him to give Hathaway one.

It was very cheesey the man is a legend though.

I reckon the reason for him doing films like that is because of his grand kids. If he didnt do films like that his grand kids would only see last tango in paris and taxi driver etc and woukd think their grand dad was a bit mental.

De Niro was actually the butter in Last Tango in Paris, method acting at its finest.

Captain America 3. 8.5/10.

I like the Marvel films (fuck you haters!) and this was one of the best. Quality.

My mate sat through gangs of New York with me when we came out said Robert De Niro is brilliant at playing mental bastards. I stopped for a moment as I didn't realise he was in the film. My mate thought Robert De Niro was Daniel Day Lewis for 2 hours until I told him.

Every time I've been to see a film with him since I always say "Robert De Niro was fucking boss in that".

Ha ha! That reminds me of a conversation I had with a mate a while ago:

"What would you say your favourite Jack Nicholson film is, mate?"

"It's a tough one, man, but I'd probably have to say Dirty Harry."

Sausage Party 7/10. Some very very funny scenes, especially the last ten minutes; that had me in absolute stitches.

Hell or high water is meant to be really good, it's on at the Cameo as well, love it in there.

Cheers. I'll check it out

It turned out he'd already picked out the one for us...Dare to be Wild. The story of the youngest ever Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner. He meant well. There wasn't a film's worth of story to tell. 1/10. I can't even decide what the point was for

That sounds like the worst premise for a film I've ever heard, Champ. What next 'Crufts 2', a tale of a young girl & her poodle & how they went on to be crowned champions of the canine World?

I watched 'Falling in Love' with De Niro & Meryl Streep yesterday, good performances from them but a bit of a predictable story, 6/10.

That it was based on a true story didn't make it any better. The Observer yesterday described it as 'a herbaceous bore of a movie.' Harsh but fair
