Tupac assassination : Battle for Compton on Amazon Prime 7/10

Lots of documents and evidence linking police and government officials to drug cartels that spiralled out of control. Interesting look at the deaths of Notorious BIG and Tupac Shakur.

At Dylan's last gig in Liverpool (about 4 years ago at the Arena) it was so catastrophically bad that 90% of the audience were just sitting talking to each other. I've never seen anything like it!

I saw him in 2001 at the big tent they used to have down there. It was really bad. My mate said he looked like Mr Burns with a guitar and he later fell asleep.

Bob made every song into a blues rock thing that just sounded the same for 3 hours.

TBF older fans were going crazy and absolutely loving it.

I was at that gig (hard to believe it was 20 years ago...) and it was well better than the recent gig - that's how shit it was!

Really? He could barely sing then. Maybe I should have been grateful he was still touring but it was not good !

Sneakers, 9/10. Hugely underrated film. Smart, fun and clever with a top of the line cast.

Mr rb14 couldn't stand it. I was neutral. We switched it off. 30 minutes. I might have another stab at it on the train to London tomorrow.

Who fell asleep? Your mate or Dylan?

I'm changing this to 8.5/10 on reflection. Some of the evidence presented absolutely blows every theory of how the two died out of the water. With everything that's going on in politics, business and the police force at the moment the accounts in this actually hold far more water than they would have done 20 years ago.

@Bjornebye I think you have an interest in Tupac's legacy, you may get alot from it.

Scarface - DVD

So we watched this last night. Well, we managed 45 minutes. It's perhaps telling that up until last night, I'd have quoted it easily in my top ten movies of all time. Like (I suspect) Carlito's Way, this simply hasn't aged well. Is it a Brian De Palma thing? Dunno. All I do know was that Casino was still brilliant. This most certainly wasn't.

5/10

The Song Remains The Same - DVD

Amazing live concert footage/movie/documentary featuring Led Zeppelin (creators of some of the best albums ever recorded and certainly better than anything Neil fucking Young or Pink fucking Floyd produced).

11/10 - geddit?

Target Number One (Sky) - True story about a lad getting set up in Bangkok and sent down for a heroin deal and the journalist who fought to get him released from Bank Kwang prison. Don't let Josh Hartnett being in it put you off, he plays the journalist very well. Good watch. 7.5/10
