Sonic the Hedgehog...took my 5 year old lad to see this. I was fearing the worst. It was quite good fun in places and Jim Carey was very good in it.

6.5/10

I give it 7/10. Surprisingly very good and definitely one of the better video game movie adaptations.

And Jim Carrey got the required amount of 'crazy' spot on.

Jumanji, welcome to the jungle.

Loved it until she put winter clothes on, then it went even more meh. Nowhere near as funny as the first, and I'm not saying the first was that funny. They just used up nearly all of the jokes about them being in different bodies in the first film.

4/10 and that's purely for the short shorts and cropped top.

Somehow had never seen Local Hero, so gave it a watch. Proper 80’s movie.

Bags of natural, understated charm, stunning cinematography, throwaway patches of silliness and eccentricity characteristic of films in that era, wore its uplifting core message relatively lightly and, of course, features that classic feel-good Knopfler soundtrack to perfect effect.

8/10 while watching, rising to a 9 an hour or so afterwards for having put me in a great, nostalgic mood.

Isi and Ossi, German comedy (Netflix).

Mrs wanted to watch this one for a bit of light relaxation. Can't say how it would come over in English as we watched it in the original German language. Not half as bad as I thought it would be and some quite funny moments. 6.5/10

Regrettably watched Rambo: Last Blood.

Its fucking awful and disgusting and should never be watched by anyone again, ever!

If you haven’t read the plot think ‘Taken’ directed by an incel and then edited by Jeffery Dahmer.

It is possibly the worst thing I’ve ever watched, genuinely.

Why Dahmer? He was apparently good at rearranging and reassembling parts.

There’s a fair amount of superfluous, misogynistic, torture fantasy to it.

It’s just a horrible little film which completely misjudges what the audience will tolerate.

Feels like the script was designed by committee on 4chan. Misogyny, lazy racism, torture of females all present.

The second half is genuinely Home Alone with heavy artillery.

Pathetic.

Parasite

Entertaining but not a lot else. Massively overhyped. At most a 6/10

1917

A Hollywood car chase of a movie. And that's not good. Can't they have a few more explosions? Pleeeeease?

4.5/10

Uncut Gem.

Thought it was just a shouty mess myself.

5/10

I watched that at the weekend and it genuinely gave me anxiety. The excessive shouting at and over each other made it really stressful to watch at times. It had the workings of a good film and there were some good acting performances, but fuckin' hell it was tough going with the shouting.

Just mute the telly and only watch the scenes with Julia Fox in. 11/10

Ain't that the truth. I was really looking forward to it as I don't mind Sandler but it was just an onslaught to the senses and not in a good way.

A very European movie, it struck me, for some reason.

I don't suppose I'll watch it again, which I guess would be my rating.

Watched about 20 minutes of it and just couldn't take to it. Not a fan of far east films,it takes something exceptional to catch my interest and this just didnt seem to.

I like loads of foreign language films but this just didn't seem to be to my taste. Is it a comedy of any sort?

No, it’s a razor sharp satire on the growing inequality, both financially and culturally, between the have and have nots.

Go back, watch again, grow as a human and report back.

I will give it a try at a later date.

    • Jürgen Klopp has spoken of his true joy in getting his squad back together for full-scale training ahead of the resumption of the Premier League season on the 17th of June.

The Reds stand on the cusp of a deserved title victory, needing just two more wins from their remaining fixtures to clinch number 19.

Rather than making up for lost time, Klopp told the Official site that he is taking a methodical approach.

“We could work on all the things we wanted to work on.

“The first week was already really good with the small groups, I enjoyed that as well, because it was just important to get on track again, to get used to the pitch and ball and boots and all that stuff.

“And now we work on tactical things, that works really well.

“We don't have to be match-fit now.

“We try it with increasing intensity, day by day, but we have to be fit on the 19th or 20th, whichever day they will give us against Everton, I think.

“That’s the moment when we want to be at 100 per cent."

Once the season resumes in earnest, it will be the best part of three months since a competitive match was played.

In that time, players have been able to give their mind and body a rest, but with everything set to be condensed, the manager feels one season will roll into the next.

“It is a roundabout three weeks until the resumption.

“That is good. We want to use that and we will. It’s our pre-season; how I said, we don’t expect a long break in between the seasons, so this is a very important period for us.

“We never had nine weeks without football training in our lives – since we played football, pretty much. That’s all different but interesting as well.

“We enjoy the situation, that’s really all good.

“And it makes all the difference for us, to be honest, to come together and have this hour or two here together.

“You get this contact, feedback as well on the pitch directly, not via a computer or a screen. It's a massive, massive lift."

The next step in the process is the actual dates of when the remaining fixtures will be played.

Klopp says that is something the whole squad is looking forward to hearing about.   "Now of course, it’s more and more interesting when we play where, the times are really important because we will see how we can organise the travel stuff.    "So, the situation keeps us busy, that’s absolutely OK.   "But on the pitch everything is fine, that’s really great.   "Around, we organise it as good as possible and use the situation.”
