The Festival. Written by half of the Inbetweeners team and starring the one who lusted after Carly.

Terrible. Utterly abject. No idea why Jemaine Clement went anywhere near it. 1/10

Yep thats what has kept me away from it. Cant stand that fucker. Although he was in my favourite scene from Inbetweeners when he throws up in the kids face.

Question for people : when a film is only 1/10, how do you manage to get to the end of the film? Normally if I'm not enjoying a film I either have to watch it in installments or simply do not finish it.

Colette.

Keira Knightley and Jimmy McNulty period it up as the eponymous French soft-porn author and her cad of a husband. Decent enough, but drags in places. Wants to be more beautiful than it is.

6.31/10 - Steady away for all concerned.

Star Wars - Rogue One.

Thought this would be a good introduction to my missus who has never seen a moment of the Star Wars franchise. Switched off after 20 mins. Watched it again on my tod the other day: You've got to dial in to the conceit of the Star Wars films to fully enjoy them. I loved it - proper ace 'rooting for the goodies' film.

8.42/10.

Bobby Robson - More than a manager. (Netflix)

Astounding. It almost touches the brilliance of 'Senna' as a tribute to a legend. Everyone who matters has their vox pop. Anyone who doesn't get dust in the eye at Gazza's contribution needs a new heart.

Gazza looked shocking in this documentary. As for Bobby Robson, what a thoroughly decent human being he was,on and off the pitch.

Croupier 8/10

still a very good re-watch. not seen it for a few years but a fine script, smart acting by Clive Owen and well directed by the Mike Hodges of Get Carter no less.

Mona Lisa 10/10

one of the great British films of all time. what can be said of Bob Hoskins that hasn't been said a million times before? greatly missed. total one-off. Caine playing the slimy low-end Soho based villain is also a captivating watch. suited that grey leather coat better than any other man alive. hard to pull off. i've had a go in his honour.

there is something about watching this 80's sleaze-fest in the early hours of the morning that further enhances the viewing experience. same goes for Croupier

Trainspotting 2, another load of Danny Boyle crap, marginally more enjoyable than the first film (which isn't saying much).

Nice to see Edinburgh looking resplendent though & Spud's flat at Greendykes is a 10 minute walk from my house.

Just watching Croupier as I've never seen it before but that Alex Kingston is one smoking hot lady. Loves to get her kit off too.

Ghost Stories

I had no idea it was an adaptation of a stage play. Some interesting ideas, Andy Nyman's always good, and it's well shot on a budget, but the ending left me a bit cold if I'm honest.

7/10

I enjoyed that, the ending was a bit weird but quite clever I thought.
