Haven't seen it yet. Feels like they saw Matt Damon play the lonely spaceman in Interstellar and just thought lets do a whole film of it. His character was a tosser in Interstellar so I'm expecting the same? Take it its worth a go then?

The Martian is great. For that reason, you'll probably hate it.

World's Greatest Dad - 8/10

None more black comedy about a dad covering up his son's death that satires the "Oh was a lovely boy and a wonderful student" platitudes that arise every time a school pupil dies.

Robin Williams was absolutely top notch in this.

The Daughter 1/10

Felt like I was watching a Christmas day episode of eastenders or corrie but without the unintentional bad acting comedy.

Some old cunt with loads of money is getting married to gold digger. A family member arrives for the wedding. During the reception he opens his gob about the grooms past and opens a far reaching can worms.

Kodachrome on Netflix, Ed Harris & one of the cunts from The Hangover as a father & son who don't get on & the Dad is dying of cancer.

Utter dross, 1/10

Avoid.

Sounds light-hearted.

Looper

They should make more movies like this.

8 of

Rian Johnson was responsible for Looper, Knives Out and The Last Jedi. I thoroughly enjoyed Looper and Knives Out.

1917

Don't know what all the fuss was about. 4/10

I watched that last night too. Thought it was technically brilliant but oddly not that engaging. Still enjoyed it though. 7/10.

Yeah, was very underwhelmed by 1917 as well.

I thought it was a bit shite, glad I didn't go to the cinema to see it. Only good thing about it though was the amount of soldiers, loads of them. Compared to the beech scene in Dunkirk that looked like the queue outside any chippy on a Friday night. Worst war movie I've ever seen.

Fletch 8/10

knockabout, effortless, wisecracking masterclass. from the Yank 80's, you know who, bullshit merchant. still enjoyable.

got Fletch Lives as a double feature which i imagine might be shite, anyone know if it's worth a watch?

as above i got Mrs Lowry and son to get to. son's work was my calendar choice in the sales this year. 2.99. will look forward to that.

Fletch and Fletch Lives were good films. Tony Moanero still has both on Betamax.

Spring. 7.5/10. Bonkers and beautifully shot film from the writing and directing team that brought us the marvellous The Endless.

A man escapes his troubles in California by taking a trip to Italy, there he meets a gorgeous girl. I'll leave it at that..

I'm going to keep an eye out for films by Aaron Moorhead and Justin Benson as this is the second film I have watched of theirs that I really enjoyed.
