Thor Ragnarok: 8.5/10

 

Really enjoyed this, probably the best film since the first Avengers one. Good story, loads of action, and Cate Blanchett's hot as fuck as an evil Goth. It's also genuinely funny, without the shit one-liners that started to infest the Marvel films from Ant Man onward and needlessly spoiled any number of scenes- it's directed by Taika Waititi who did Jojo Rabbit and What We Do in the Shadows. Very good, and no fucking Iron Man, which is a massive bonus.

The Town - I've looked at this on Netflix loads and just not brought myself to watch it because Ben Affleck is in it and he is fucking shite. However... this is easily the best film I've seen with him in. Its got Jeremy Renner in as well. Boston Bankrobbers, usual cat & mouse with the police but its brilliantly done. Final showdown at Fenway Park as well.

Enjoyable enough but highly predictable. I think there's another film that's in there that was edited out. Why did one of the robbers look just like Boseman? Why did he inexplicably get changed into a simlar looking suit towards the end of the film while he was on the run?

The first one is superb. The second one has its moments but is so fucking cheesy and uses far too many lines/parts from the first one. Will Smith especially in the 2nd is garbage. Not seen 3 yet.

CGI laden Action/Fantasy film from DCEU. 

 

It is what it is I suppose, a bit of family fun which is cheesy as fuck at times and has a weak plot. Amber Heard as a red head though, whoar.

Zombieland- Double Tap - 6/10. Enjoyable enough but nowhere near as good as the first one

Big Night (1996) on Netflix about 2 Italian brothers and their failing restaurant. I really enjoyed this one, a good old fashioned story. Do not watch on an empty stomach though.

 

I'm also starting to find the yound Minnie Driver very attractive, which is a new thing.

Bat shit mental film about huntings humans for sport. Exceedingly dark attempts at humour are very hit and miss.

 

Interesting and enjoyable I suppose.
