I watched Spotlight again a week or two ago, and agree it is fantastic. Mark Ruffalo is one of my favourite actors.

Try Dark Waters if you haven't already mate.

Both very good.

He's found his niche role.

I was very excited to see it after watching the trailer but then the Corona bollocks closed all the cinemas.

I will definitely watch it at some point.

At Eternity's Gate, Willem Dafoe plays Van Gogh in his last few years (Netflix).

This film was absolutely stunning to look at & Van Gogh's descent into madness was pretty convincing. It also made me want to paint in the same way The Color Of Money makes me want to play pool. 8/10.

Ad Astra. I can't recall a shitter film I have ever sat through. Certainly not a shitter Sci-Fi film. I should have turned it off at the space monkeys.

-10/10 just pointless.

Yep, crap film.  The trailers deceive.

It's another film that either is hated or enjoyed, like the other sci-fi film about an alien invasion. I enjoyed both of them.

Beetlejuice

I’m 38 and hand on heart, this was the first time I’ve ever watched it. I don’t know if it’s one of these films you had to see when the film came out or 80’s nostalgia, but I didn’t enjoy it. Being honest, I thought it was dreadful.

Birds Of Prey 6/10.

The Margot Robbie Harley Quinn film. It ties itself in knots trying to be cleverer / kookyer than it actually is but it was an entertaining, if shallow, 90 minutes

It’s got Margot Robbie in and it’s shallow? That’s a 10/10 before we even start it

Allied 5/10

World War II spy film with Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard. Not a bad storyline but it just didn't do it for me.

Personal Shopper 3/10

A girl trying to juggle her job while also trying to make contact with her recently deceased brother. A bit like sitting in a car with the engine running but not actually putting it into gear and going for a drive.

This thread is going to be busy for a few weeks I think.

Happy Death Day 2 U - the first one was quite a fun movie and this one wasn't too bad either. 7/10 Jessica Rothe would get game too.

Widows - 8.5/10 right good heist movie given an arty sheen by the director and a top cast. And Elizabeth Debicki has a right decent rack on her.
