Yep. Went to see it in London today. 3 and a half hours of  greatness.

De Niro and Pesci are unreal. Pacino perhaps less so - the CGI bothered me more with him that with Bobby, but it superb. All about love, friendship, old age and loss.

Throw in Keitel, Charmaine Bucco, Herc off the wire, Gyp Rossetti & Stephen Graham and it’s great.

It feels like Scorsese definitively doing the 60’s and signing off.

Can’t wait to watch this.

It’s limited release isn’t it?

Can’t wait for that. It has some cracking reviews.

Same here mate, the reviews are rather favourable. Yeah, it would probably be better on the big screen but it is that long since I watched a decent film in the cinema I'm used to watching them at home on a decent sized TV. Plus I can go for a piss or a tab when I want.

Jojo Rabbit.

Excellent Cinema. 8.5/10

*Jojo Rabbit....is a coming-of-age fable with equal parts charm and horror. Waititi takes a serious subject and doesn't mitigate the evils of Nazism with his portrayal of a daffy imaginary Hitler.*

What next? How To Be a Good Caretaker with Ian Huntley?

Rambo: Last Blood. 5/10 (20/10). A bog standard fall foul of a Mexican cartel ending in big showdown plot, that fuels half the Hollywood action output these days. Very violent, unspectacular, but a million miles away from the classic first instalment. So 5/10. Until we get to the last twenty minutes. And then we get an extended battle sequence that is chock full of some of the most glorious, over-the-top, just for the sake of it, über violence, the like of which you rarely see outside of a slasher horror movie. It’s gratuitous, inventive, and so laugh out loud you want to applaud the fact they just went for it. 20/10 for that bit. In fact, break out the beer and popcorn, get some mates around, and just fast forward to the last twenty minutes to savour the sheer ridiculousness of it all.

It was like Home Alone for adults.
