Watched The Edge of Seventeen on Netflix the other night, it was about a miserable teenage girl & her issues with her brother going out with her best mate, which sounds fucking awful but it was actually pretty good up until the last five minutes & a mandatory syrupy ending. 6.5/10.

Typical Hollywood as well, the main bird in it was meant to be average looking...

Watched The Majestic with Jim Carrey last night.

8.5/10. I thought it was excellent. Has some really poor reviews from the critics and somehow I'd never even heard of it before but I saw someone recommend it and decided to give it a go. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and the message about the dangers of free speech being impinged and polarisation were very appropriate for our current climate.

The Limehouse Golem - Bill Nighy is a London detective on the trail of a serial killer in the 19th century whilst simultaneously trying to keep a music hall actress from the gallows. Not the film I thought it would be as it focuses more on the latter part of the story than the former but it was fairly entertaining and Nighy was good value. 7 out of 10.

Turbo Kid. Was on the Horror Channel last night, only a third into this and will watch the rest later so unable to score right now but oh my god how have I not seen this already, it's bloody brilliant.

Set in a post apocalyptic 1997, to an 80's style synth score it's essentially a Mad Max meets BMX Bandits b-movie. The lead girl is really engaging giving off Harley Quinn like vibes and with added Michael Ironside in full 80's baddy style to ham it up as the villian.

Finished it. 8.5/10. Loved it.

I would agree with this. A great film by Carey which shows what a great actor he can be when not gurning etc

Christopher Robin. 9/10.

Had a mother and daughter outing yesterday and we absolutely loved it. And wept silent tears for most of it.

My only gripe was Eyeore’s voice which didn’t quite work for me but that’s small beer.

I took my daughter watching it yesterday as well. It's a proper family movie.
