Remake of Salaire de la peur (Wages of Fear), one of my favorite movies, with Roy Scheider. Pretty decent actually with a great score by Tangerine Dream. 7/10

Apart from 'Spotless Mind' I've seen all of those and there are indeed some fantastic films there. However, 'Chinatown' along with 'Casablanca' and 'The Godfather' are generally regarded within the trade as the best scripts ever written. But don't take my word for it:

A case could be argued for each of them I happen to think 'Chinatown' edges it.

Fury. Enjoyable WW2 romp with plenty of Nazis and tanks. 7/10.

Jack Reacher - 4/10 - incomprehensible at times. Cruise playing himself. Bizarre.

 

Straight Outta Compton - 6.5/10 - good performances, enjoyed the music but a bit too long and dry

Honestly thought it was fucking rubbish mate. Like a cross between Monsters and The Abyss, but nowhere near as good as either.
