Our Day Out

No idea why i wanted to watch this again, but there you go.

3/10 I am too young for any of it to be nostalgic. Other than school trips and arsehole teachers like.

Wow!

How the fuck did you manage to watch our day out? Are you in school and your English teacher put it on for you as an end of term treat?

Se7en - Not as good as I remember but still pretty good. Think once you've watched it a few times, everything that is so good about it doesn't really impress anymore - 7.5/10

Paddington - It is what it is. A few muffled laughs, but most of the film was spent thinking the wife was strangely fit - 6/10

From Hell - Felt like I was in hell watching this mess 4/10. Would be a 3/10 but Depp was still quite the dashing fellow back then so gave it an extra mark

Room 7/10

Decent drama. It delves into the human spirit a lot I think. Quite a unique script for a movie actually which was nice. The lead girl in it (no idea of her name) was tremendous.

Starred Up 7/10

Gritty as fuck but again very solid, very realistic representation of prison I would imagine. The kid in it will go far. Like a younger Tom Hardy.

Brie Olsen, won the Oscar on Sunday, agreed mate, she was fantastic and very deserving.

Mind you, I thought the kid, (Joseph Tremblay ?) was even better, best acting performance by a fella I can recall all year. Better than DiCaprio but the kid wasn't even nominated.

You're right mate, the boy was very good also.

Didn't realise she won an Oscar but that is well deserved.

Se7en - 6/10: Thought it was decent for what it was but tbh can't really see what people are raving about with this one. Yeah there was a good unsettling atmosphere throughout the movie but I thought there were quite a few detective clichés, the twist was far more predictable and run-of-the-mill than I'd been told it was and Pitt's "Oh gaaaaawd, what's in the baaaaaaawks" shtick at the end came off as laughably bad, whether he was intentionally doing it to try and "portray his character's sense of shock" or not.
