Brilliant performance from Sean Penn,one of the most underrated actors of all time.

 

PS. I cant believe an earlier poster gave Syriana 3/10,thats a crime.

 

I thought that was brilliant and thought provoking if a bit confusing but easily 8/10.

George Clooney is another actor seriously underrated because of his alleged 'good looks.'

Im not that way inclined so I cant really see it.

Damned By Dawn- piss poor Australian Evil Dead rip off- 2/10

 

Buried- Ryan Reynolds stuck in a coffin for 90 minutes, sounds terrible but isnt- 8/10

 

The Loved Ones- wildly entertaining Australian teen Horror- 8.5/10

 

Bedevilled- Korean revenge tale - 8/10

 

Red White And Blue- slow paced but gripping- 7/10

Crazy how Shyamalan's dipped after the Sixth Sense. I took look at the trailer for Airbender and just thought 'nah'. And is it just me or does 'Airbender' sound like it should be an insult or something?

Girl With The Dragon Tattoo - 8/10 Decent. And the girl's fit in a dirty skanky kinda way.

 

Four Lions - 8/10 Really funny. Great casting, especially the fonejacker bloke.

Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy

 

One of the funniest American comedies I've ever seen.

 

Rod Burgundy: "You're so wise. You're like a miniature Buddha, covered in hair." made me laugh for a considerable amount of time.

Not bad. Was expecting some LOL (sorry) moments a bit more, but it was a decent enough comedy. Did it's job. Despite reviews on here and in the marketing campaign saying otherwise, I still think The Hangover is the best comedy to have been released in recent times.

 

Was a good movie, we enjoyed it. Just wasn't that good. But well worth a watch if you're in the mood.

 

(Plus a couple of nice boobies were displayed, which is always good).

Leaving Las Vegas - 8/10. Cage's only performance I can tolerate.

 

Good film, terrible soundtrack and incidental music. Sting's voice all of a sudden blaring out nearly kills it for me.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Still a top, top film. Johnny Depp just proves he is one of the best actors around in this film.

 

10/10 for high levels of fucked up drug shit.

I saw people had given this pretty high scores and i hadn't read anything about it. It was very nicely filmed, and I liked the feel of the film, but I just found it disappointing. I have heard people say there is a twist at the end, but i thought it was the exact opposite. I think it would have been good to have a question mark hanging over it at the end.
