Pennant played well, albeit against League One opposition. He looked sharp to me and I think we have been missing him while he has been injured. He offers something different to Yossi on the right, he looks to get to byline and beat defenders.

 

I don't know why he doesn't give Babel a chance to play up top with Torres either, he can't do much worse than Crouch/Kuyt/Voronin can he!

Agree 100% Tom Pennant deffo gave us more balance,cos he doesnt drift inside he was always available wide and is a good option.He looked to go towards goal or deliver a good cross every time he had it.Only bad thing was when he chased Gerrards pass kept it in brilliantly and then passed a 2 yard ball to AA out.Good game tho
