Just stuck them on for the first time in ages. Sounds strange, but I'd actually forgotten how good they were.

I reckon in 50-100 years time, they'll be placed alongside the likes of Beethoven and Mozart in terms of reaching musical perfection.

Revolver is an absolute masterpiece. No two ways about it.

They already are mate. The Beatles were unbelievably good. The quality of their music never ceases to amaze me. Breathtakingly good.

I only like the high as kites Beatles, all the rest was too clean for me.

McCartney is a cunt and Lennon was what Geldof, Bono and Chris Martin want to be.

Harrison was the glue that brought the music together, as important as Lennon/McCartney were, without Harrison they would not have the status they have.

If you ever want to disturb the neighbours - for about a half-mile radius - play It's All Too Much as loud as it deserves to be played.

If you had a poll on their best album, the votes would be split. That's how good they were and how much their music changed from pretty much album to album.

I'm gonna wait until their remastered box set comes down way in price and invest in it.

No other band or artist comes remotely close to how good they were.

A day in the Life - fucking hell how fucking good...

Bought the Remastered version of Revolver last week and haven't stopped listening to it! The combinations of guitar and great lyrics made musical genius, the album will continue to be the greatest to ever be created due to its diversity and originality.

My favourite song from that album is I'm only sleeping or Taxman, cant decide due to the brilliance of the album (even the cover is boss!)

It's true. You go through a spell of not listening to them for a while and then when you get around to banging their Albums on again, you realise just how fucking brilliant they were.

Apparently, the Red Hot Chili peppers are better according to one loon on another thread.

What?? What did Lennon ever do for anyone other than himself? Fantastic musician and songwriter that he was, not the most charitable human being to walk the earth though. Most of his "protests" were just self serving bollocks. His untimely death sadly blinkered people into thinking he was some sort of a Saint. He wasn't.

They did a lot for liverpool music and music in general but there is more to our musical history than the beatles and a lot of people forget that. Thats my biggest annoyance with the beatles. I prefer the stones myself

That amazes me. The Beatles were more innovative in 7 years than the Stones have been in 40 odd years.

I'm not doubtin that mate. I just personally prefer the stones. Neither are must listen to bands for me. I prefer my music a little heavier shall we say.

Fair enough, music is all about opinions. Always felt the Stones were a bit of a one trick pony, albeit a one trick pony that wrote some classics. Sadly nothing after the mid 70's though. They're embarrassing now.
