Barnes links up with Black Cats

Jamican-born Barnes will hold coaching clinics across seven islands, with the best under-20 talent offered a trial.

The 44-year-old told The Guardian: "I want to give opportunities to players in the Caribbean.

"The Caribbean is the next place where they are going to get talent to grace the Premier league."

Barnes moved to England as a 13-year-old and joined Watford, where he stayed for six years before signing for Liverpool.

It was at Anfield where he made his name, making over 300 appearances in 10 years with the club.

And, after brief spells with Newcastle and Charlton, Barnes tried his hand at management at Celtic under the guidance of director of football Kenny Dalglish.

However, his spell was cut short after only 29 games and six months in charge and he has since forged a career for himself as a pundit.

Spot on, Remmie and others need to get a few facts right before commenting.

And Keane went in on Haaland because of a previous incident in another match, when Haaland accused Keane of faking it when his cruciate snapped (following a challenge by Keane on Haaland). Not excusing his horror tackle, but I can understand his anger.

I can't.

What's the big deal with Haaland suggesting he might have been faking it? It happens probably 5-10 times in every Premiership match.

Player goes down, opposition player tells him to "get up".

Keane attempted a very poor challenge on Haaland, iirc he gave away a penalty.

I'd imagine Haaland was only suggesting he was possibly exaggerating his injury to deflect from the poor challenge - so what? It happens all the time.

Keane is a fucking prick for letting that boil for however many years. And a nutcase for letting it boil over.

He's right about Terry though.
