I'm not sure where you stand on this issue.

I am detecting the merest undercurrent of the emotion otherwise known as sheer hatred.

I generally hate reality TV but that Kitchen Nightmares is funny as fuck.

World class chef is coming today, make sure that:-

  • There is an infestation of bugs
  • There's a fridge or freezer full of mouldy food
  • The staff hate each other
  • The chef is absolutely fucking useless
  • The place is in complete disrepair
  • The manager doesn't give two fucks
  • Everything is scripted beyond belief

Then there's the theme tune to Hotel Hell, which sounds like something from South Park, absolutely brilliant...

I liked the original UK version more than the US one- some of the early ones were good, but it got a bit formulaic as dick sack points out above. A number of the back stories are quite interesting too- one involved the son of an Aussie gangster who seemed to be on there mainly to promote some shitty book he'd written. The best one in the later series by a mile was Amy's Baking Company, with some pussy-stricken arsehole and his insane 'trophy' wife.

First rule of reality TV that. You are going to be on TV, so make sure everything about you is as fucked up as it's possible to be.

I'll admit I quite like the Kitchen Nightmares US edition, just to see how utterly fucking shite some of them are. I have to say, that Amy's Baking episode was great. The woman is a complete and utter nut job, indulged by a husband too scared to say no to her for fear she'll start shagging the pool boy.

I should hate the fucking prick due to his f**tball allegiance but... I fucking love the guy. Hells Kitchen is boss, Kitchen nightmares are funny as fuck and I used to love The F Word. Shame he smelt the American money because the stuff he did in Britain was better. Big fan.

Gordon Ramsay is extremely entertaining. It's also a credit to him that I can't figure out if he's been playing a character all these years or if he's being himself.

Hell's Kitchen is his GOAT show, imo but Kitchen Nightmares is good too, especially when the managers are clueless and fight with him when he wants to change stuff.
