As much as I enjoy Nirvana's tunes...

 

..most overrated band ever and if Kurt had stayed alive we never would have got the Foo Fighters. Neggers gonna neg but think about it.

 

For one thing Nirvana and grunge killed off the glam metal scene and that was no bad thing.

I agree with chicken, I'm not a huge Nirvana fan and get pissed at the bloody kids that make out Kurt to be some sort of amazing guitarist.

 

Kurt was a mediocre guitar player at best, he was a fantastic songwriter though. He didn't even play some of his chords properly. (E was always played as an E5 or mistakenly as an Em and his D was a D5 a lot of the time too) It was his songwriting and his ability to keep it simple (a lot like his guitar playing) that was his genius. That and he had a very distinctive voice that was absolutely amazing.

1. I've never heard anyone say that Kurt was a great guitarist. Ever. Even he said he was shit. (Which he wasn't, but he was never great.)
