Some good points in there.

 

Gerrad is more effective on the right. If he stays out there it would allow the central midfield pairing to control the game more and it would reduce the amount of responsibility Gerrard feels he needs to take on. Thing is does he trust the other central midfielders to do the job.

I’ve said for a couple of games now we’re not controlling the midfield as we should. We’ve been using two wingers and only two real midfield players incl. Gerrard. I’d lke to see us with two midfielders AND Gerrard. I don’t believe Gerrard should be put on the right, I’m thinking more in terms of a three men midfield, where Gerrard could have the freedom to attack. Only one wideman or only one up front? As we’re not allowed to use 12 men on the pitch that’s what we need to do. With Gerrard in a free role he’d take care of the right flank when needed.
