The yanks seem to have a penchant for giving guns and badges to people who probably couldn't get a job shoveling shit over here. It in no way compares to any of this obviously, but I've had some of the worst airport experiences in the world in the States. Thick as fuck jobsworths ordering you around like you're a criminal just for having the temerity to be queuing up to board a plane.

It may have to do with decentralization of a lot of law enforcement where PDs are just departments of the city. And despite the fact policing is such a contentious issue and fuels racial tensions, they still don't have a reliable database to prove various claims and counterclaims.

I remember using Guardian US data base post Ferguson, but they stopped collecting data in 2016, when the issue ceased to be in media spotlight. Interestingly, if you search Minnesota, their police are among the most restrained departments, with only 13 and 14 killings in 2015 and 2016 respectively (national level is over a 1,000), which is bottom half per capita.

For 2016, out of 14 people killed by Minnesota police, 3 were black, and only one police killing was by Minneapolis PD, of a Hispanic man (2 more were by the twin city St. Paul PD). Of the 3 black victims, 2 killings were not deemed controversial, but the last one was the famous case of Philando Castile (the guy shot in the car with his girlfriend sharing the incident live on Facebook).

One of their officials wanted to shoot me because I didn't fill in my customs card on the plane with a black pen.

To be fair, you have that effect on a lot of people. Stronts, Turdseye, your old ship’s captain.

See the graffiti on the shop awning "fuck black lives" ?

Wankers who choose things like this as an excuse to go on the rob. It will get worse over there tomorrow.

Watching some of the local political punditry on that site, there seem to have been issues with the local PD which have dragged on for some time. Seeing their mayor yesterday with tears in his eyes talking about being black as a death sentence in this country - how about you clean up your police department first and make sure they don't employ psychopaths and then talk about the country and its problems?

They all need to be more like Mike Lowrey.

If they did they wouldn’t be idiots. Best summed up by this tweet.

Soft cunts probably thought they’d be able to ‘wipe the tapes’ not realising it’s a live feed.

Didn't even switch the camera off when they carried it to the side of the road.

And they trust these fuckwits with guns!

Another vide has emerged in the Floyd case.

You can clearly see on that video that the officer with his knee on his neck applies added pressure as he's telling them he can't breathe.
