New Stadium name ????

anyone hear what the new stadium will be called ????Have they put suggestions forward or are they gonna call it Anfield ???

 

What do lot reckon it should be called ???

Easy Gav - Anfield Stadium, Anfield Memorial Park - but I remember John Smith saying we would never see any advertising boards in Anfield - so the Carsberg McDonalds Stadium with the Reebok Kop - no I cant even think of it!!!!!!!!!!

I reckon we should name the stands after former managers/players.

 

Paisley and Shankly stands are obvious choices but what about the Liddell End?

Anfield forever.

Unless they called it New Anfield like the The New Strand in Bootle! lol

 

incidentally, my Mum went to school with a girl who won a competition in the bootle Times to name the Strand. I think she won 10 or 20 pounds. Of course that was when 10 or 20 pounds was a LOT of money, apparently.

 

Anyway, just an aside.... ;-)

wnen announcing the plans the club said that the new stadium would definitely be called Anfield.The old ground will be demolished and will form part of a new open space to replace the open space beind taken for the new stadium.A memorial will form part of the new open space and (I think) walkways will connect the two sites.
