Love that Swindle track with Andrew Ashong. Gilles has been involved with two seminal record labels before in Acid Jazz and Talkin’ Loud, but Brownswood might be getting into or even beyond those realms now. So much good stuff on there.

Mate no doubt. The influence of GP in the music scene as a whole is incredibly underrated. So many artists i've heard through his shows, CD's and DJ sets. A few tracks that i'm still trying to add to my collection tbf.

Just catching up on Paul Weller’s Radio 2 In Concert gig that was on BBC 4 last night. The band play throughout with an orchestra and the set list leans to the left of his ridiculous back catalogue. Lots of the soul & folk stuff his voice is made for with the odd touch of waltz and bossa. There’s a bit of the (in my view) more plodding stuff beloved of his hardcore audience, but in the main it’s fantastic. Check it.
