Boot, 6 years on just cos I'm back on a major Pumpkins kick atm.

Fucking great, great band. Billy Corgan might be a colossol dickhead but he can write a gorgeous pop song.

Adore is my fave album.

Top 5 songs ? Phew, maybe :

Stand Inside Your Love

Blank Page

The Tale of Dusty & Pistol Pete

Porcelina

Neverlost

Just too many to pick from.

Fantastic band (even though I haven't the faintest idea who's in them anymore), and I've loved reading this thread back. PaddyBerger15's post made me laugh out loud. Darcy Wretsky and Billy Corgan meet The Might GF.

Amazing band, not following their latest lineup but there are enough songs and collections to listen back to.

Very much a favourite band of mine in my teens. Although they both got mixed reviews I love both Machina and Adore.

Rotten Apples is a must as a collection of music to pick up and go through.

Edit: my post on the first page was right. The album back in 2007 was dire. Still not listened to it all the way through. It was Zwan all over.

Abolutely loved them up until Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness.

I've been counting days for a while now and now it's 19 days until this beauty comes out!

The original THE AEROPLANE FLIES HIGH was a five-disc box set that featured expanded versions of singles from their acclaimed 1995 double album MELLON COLLIE & THE INFINITE SADNESS including 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings,' '1979,' 'Zero' 'Tonight' and 'Thirty-Three.'

This new box set of THE AEROPLANE FLIES HIGH contains the original 33 track version across five, 180 gram LPs, and is re-mastered by Bob Ludwig. It also features unique packaging with embossed foil wrap and twinkle stock for jackets."

Siamese Dream has been one of the albums of my life in the 90s. Haven't listened to it much since.

Mellon Collie was pretty good, as was Gish.

When Adore came out my interest in them began to fade, it was pretty hit and miss I thought.

They're reforming? Not sure I see the point. Didn't Corgan used to re-do all the music himself?

Anyway, I like them, have done for years. Faves are Melon Collie and Adore, and I have a soft spot for Zeitgeist from 2006. I saw them on that tour with Chamberlin on drums and they were ace.

James Iha had a couple of nice albums too.
