The first response...

My neighbours must think we are horrible people haha,we’ve clapped once but tbh my parents are both nurses and think this clap is very hypocritical so they refuse to be in it.

What could be hypocritical about clapping?

I suppose the thought is Tory-voting, tax-dodging, privatisation-favouring types rediscovering a sudden love of poorly paid public servants who are endangering their own lives while trying to save the lives of others in dreadfully under-resourced workplaces is... troubling?

I guess if you both clap and are one of those twats who champions underfunding the NHS, then it is. Not sure how that would make the entire thing hypocritical though. For many, it's just an honest sign of appreciation by the man and women literally on the street, most of whom support the NHS to their very foundation.

Can't please everyone, I guess.

Agree. It's not necessarily hypocritical and I've done it on three or four occasions myself...

Someone's gone one better here with a whistle, I could gun him down.

I don't mind it as such as the old lady next but one thankfully recovered from it, and she claps so fair play to her.

I seen on a FB group thing a post saying Harrington Rd let's give it a big one tonight and out do Moss Lane, the next street that is, that is cuntish.
