Only deadly to humans if you have an allergic reaction. Pretty fucking painful otherwise. I would imagine the spider would have had to have had a bit of a sit down afterwards.

I thought certain turantulas are deadly to humans isnt the bird eating tarantula deadly to humans.

No, surprisingly enough given its size. Although it seems to be the norm in the animal world that if a creature is poisonous or venomous, then the smaller it is, the more toxic it will be.

 

For example, the rule of thumb to tell how venomous a scorpion is is the size of its claws in relation to its body. Smaller the claws, more powerful the sting. Bigger claws, can hold onto prey better hence the sting doesn't need to be as potent.
