"You dont believe what they say in the papers, or them newsreaders on tv, dont believe the twitching curtains of neighbour's, or anyone else that dont want you to be free"

Van Morrison,  What's wrong with this picture.

On the iconic blue note jazz  label  with that glorious blue note pace feel and vibe, a scribe once mused that listening to a blue note record is like being spiked with hashish and then being seduced by a snake charmer.

Bit odd but I think i see his point.

That's the best, another boss one is the same song a year later at Hosfra University. I put it on the jukebox a while back, most where blitzed, and  no one had heard or seen it, bizarre.

There debut live concert I believe? and off their tits, they had to get on and still tripping.

Nah, they'd played a load of gigs before Woodstock. You can get a live Fillmore album from '68.

Oh right, didn't know, I only read it yesterday in the paper about classic albums  Abraxas and it said that, there first album Santana was 1969 so are they bootlegs or something?

I couldn't be without either album to listen to now and again.

That Fillmore '68 album is official, it probably used to be a bootleg before the record company saw dollar signs.

Their first 4 albums are all killer in my opinion.

Are you getting confused with CSNY? Woodstock was their second gig.

Yeah, I heard a few after  but none beats them two though to be honest I can only remember the  covers as Caravanserai above and Borbaletto, I got into them about 75 when about 15 so had to delve back, as with most sounds the last one I actually bought was the 78 album which I'm fucked if I can recall the title, quite liked the cover Well Alright on it, don't bother now so much now.

Know what you mean but I don't think so, just something I read yesterday and I didn't know, well apart from that I think it was Jerry Garcia saying it'll where off by the time you get on.

That Hosfra Uni one though is terrific 1970, the fella on the maracas is having a ball with his sweaty armpits, as is the crowd.

The article must of been mistaken I suppose
