Mook, you posted an Aretha Franklin tune recently and I can't remember for the life of me what the name of the song was. It's fucking me off.

Was it Master of Eyes (The Deepness of Your Eyes)?

 

I'm always going on about that song, quite why it isn't completely overplayed is beyond me.

The Isleys wrote and delivered some of the most memorable tunes ever, but less known is that they could do sleazy better than almost any other band alive.

Another thing great about that song is Jimi Hendrix taught a young Ernie isley to play guitar. Isley went on to become one of the all time great guitar players in his own right.

 

The longer versio of 'that lady' has one of pops all time great guitar solos by Ernie in which he shows the Hendrix influence , his guitar playing also set the isley brothers (though they were superb in their own right anyway) apart by giving them a rock/soul fusion.

 

The record stands as an all time classic.
