Yes - he is a genius - the Young Ones was full of brilliant random characters. Jerzy Balowski, Harry the Bastard, the TV detector man, Vivians' Mum, SPG the hamster & Dexy's Midnight Runners playing in the toilet.

Yeah, every episode was literally a new adventure, they would be dicking about, usually in the house, and all sorts of weird and wonderful losers would wonder through....Lenny Henry as the Nazi Postman in the final episode, Griff Rhys-Jones as Bambi, Jennifer Saunders as Helen Mucus, the completely mad murderess....everyone was a winner.

Anyone mentione Holly from Red Dwarf? Or Micky Pearce?

Holly was counted in, and then counted out due to Hattie Hayridge being shite compared to Norm Lovett....Holly would still qualify for me.

Mickey Pearce is a good shout, an often overlooked OF&H support character as there are so many others. Trigger, Boycie and Denzil always get first dibs in the fans affection, but Mickey Pearce has been there since the early days....I suppose Mike and Sid should also get honourable mentions.

It was chocker full of randoms - the talking cat and flying sharks, the bit where Vivian goes to Narnia and asks the witch for a doner kebab.
