Brian Reade is a quality writer though. And for the record i was 100% with him on that Houllier piece.

From what I hear your second sentence could actually be on the cards, but I am saying nothing. VdV is a far superior player to Duff. Duff has been injured for much of this season, and I thought he had a poor game at Porkheid the other night.

 

Murphy, Gerrard, Cheyrou, Smicer, Berger and Riise are all offensive midfield players. Only Hamann, Biscan and Diao are defensive ones.

Rafeal VDV from what I have seen is on a different planet to Duff. He is not an out and out winger but does play there often. I rate him so highly that if GH bought him it would be the biggest signing of a foreign player by any club. Wonderful talent and only 19 years old!
