I won a little bit on that also. Backed and laid it for matched betting purposes but the odds drifted out a bit leaving me a tenner up.

Might give that one a miss. My biggest ever bet on a horse was odds-on on Kauto Star towards the end of his career and he edged it on a photo finish. It’s not worth the hassle.

I had a grand on Frankel at 1/3. 

 

Mate of mine had three grand on him at 1/6 a couple of races later.

 

Like printing money. Would never have so much faith in a jumps horse. Only needs the horse in front of you to fuck up and hamper yours.

 

8f to 12f is perfect as position is unlikely to have as much influence either (whilst in a 5f race your horse could get trapped inside for a few seconds and ruin your chances, even if it is considerably better than rest).

Saw there was a horse running in the 2:40 at Warwick called Captain Cargo. 

 

Obviously would have kicked myself if I didn’t get on it so I had a tenner at 4/1.
