Arsenal annoy me in the fact that the media wank over them saying about the football they play. I agree their football is great to watch but where are they, 4th. They only just managed to qualify for the Champs lge last season and will be doing the same this season.

 

They are out of the FA Cup, lost in the final of the Carling Cup, losing after the 1st leg of the Champs Lge.

 

There a team of pussys. First slightest challenge and they go down lack a sack of shit.

 

Rose tinted glasses or not but i personally think we are in a stronger position then Arsenal to progress and challenge for the Premier Lge.

There is a lot of truth in there though. Arsenal seem to get an awful lot of credit and favourable media attention, but in the past few years they havn't won anything of note.

 

Much as I dislike Mourinho, he was giving out the same message after the Carling Cup final. He was saying great manager - yes. Great young players - yes. But they keep losing!

 

I think Wenger needs to develop a more pragmatic side, or his great reputation will diminish in a sea of pretty football that doesn't quite deliver the trophies.

And they were playing a Prem side in a later round. We shouldn't have lost to Burnley with the team we put out. Arsenal can't say that.

But compare what we've achieved under Benitez with Arsenal's achievements over the same period - bearing in mind that Wenger has had a significant headstart on Benitez in all departments.
